Cheesy Chicken and Rice is a staple, in our house.   If you just starting to cook for your family you should try this one.

It is an easy recipe to put together and you can use most of the ingredients in other dinners.  I make it at least once a month.

I got the recipe from Racheal Ray.  She is a great cook and funny to watch.  She makes cooking look so easy.  In a way, cooking is easy, if you make it they will make it, and they will say it was so good.

One thing to remember is that you are your own worst critic.  Don’t be afraid, to try something new, if you screw it up… there is always frozen pizza.

Instructions
  1. Heat the oven to 375 degrees F
  2. Stir the soup, water, rice, onion powder, grarlic powder, black pepper and vegetables in a 2-quart shallow baking dish.
  3. Top with the chicken.
  4. Cover really well and bake for 45 minutes or until chicken is cooked
  5. Top with the cheese and bake for 7-10 minutes uncovered
  6. Let stand for about 10 minutes and serve
